The multi
faceted arts festival is taking place throughout Forum
North, the Whangarei Central Library and the
Community Arts Centre in the Old
Library. Rich in culture and colour, an impressive
program of events involving a huge number of people,
the festival aims to show-case,
and celebrate the immense talent and diversity
of the Arts in our community.
This year’s Mid
Winter Arts Festival brings a touch of magic to the
chilliest time of year. See our budding circus
artists perform their daredevil
stunts; listen to enthralling tales from our talented
storytellers; learn more about art by watching our
creative folk in action and find
that perfect piece to add to your collection; catch a
wonderful show appearing in the Capitaine
Bougainville Theatre; spread your
own artistic wings in the Arts Competition organised
by the Whangarei Libraries; check out what’s on offer
from the local arts organisations
and groups in the Community Arts Centre;
or enjoy a meal while you wander among the musicians
and performers on the four
performance stages set up for your
entertainment. Don’t miss out on the chance to experience
all this and so much more at the
Mid Winter Arts Festival.
Special thanks to all of those whose efforts have made
this festival possible for the
benefit of our community.
