Performing arts is a major focus of the festival this year – with FIVE stages of performance arts programmes running simultaneously – plus the shows in the Capitaine Bougainville Theatre and roving artists….

1. Buskers Library Pitch – In the Courtyard, outside the Whangarei Central Library

(Will be hosted inside the library should the weather be unkind….)

This programme represents some of Northland top performers – putting on a show for you, all for a donation. Members of the community are encouraged to support our artists by being generous with their donations. It’s an aim of the festival to make this unique facility and buskers pitch internationally renowned!

2. Performance Stage in the Main Exhibition Hall, Forum North

The Festival is pleased to be hosting this wonderful Performance Stage in the Main Exhibition Hall this year. This programme aims to showcase some of the extra-ordinary musical talents we have in our community. Please be generous to our musicians, and make donations to gesture your appreciation of their efforts and talents.

3. Performance platform on the Stairway - leading up to Capitaine Bougainville Theatre, Forum North

This performance space has been designated for spontaneous performers. Performers can book their space during the festival – by adding their names to the list placed on a wall besides the space….

4. Children’s Den Programme, Bounty Room, Forum North

A children’s Den is being set up in the Bounty Room in Forum North. A full programme of wonderful high quality entertainment and inspiration has been developed for our children.

5. Performance Stage in the Community Arts Centre (Old Library)

The Community Arts Centre in the Old Library will be abuzz with arts organisations, groups, business’s and societies etc, promoting themselves, and what they do.
The Performance Stage set up here in the Community Arts Centre (Old Library,) will showcase some of the art-forms represented here, including poetry, theatre, music, dance…
